About Me

I’m Ross Crews, the designer behind NorthCrest Residential Design.

I’ve been designing and drafting homes since 2019, with experience spanning both custom homes and production housing. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on more than 300 homes, taking projects from early floor plan concepts through complete construction drawing sets.

That experience has given me a perspective that goes beyond simply making a home look good on paper. I’ve worked alongside builders, contractors, designers, and homeowners, learning how the different pieces of a home need to work together in the real world.

I enjoy the problem-solving that comes with residential design. How should the floor plan flow? How will the exterior come together? What details will make the home feel intentional? And, most importantly, how will someone actually live in the space?

After several years working in the residential design industry, I started NorthCrest to bring that experience into my own work and have more freedom in how I approach each project.

NorthCrest is intentionally small and independent. When you work with me, you’re working directly with the person designing your home. I keep the process personal, straightforward, and collaborative, and I stay involved from the initial design through the final plans.

I’m based in Woodstock, Georgia, and work with homeowners and builders across the country on custom homes, stock plans, and residential design projects.

Whether you’re starting with a rough idea, refining an existing concept, or looking for a plan that’s ready to build, my goal is simple: create thoughtful, functional home designs that work as well in real life as they do on paper.
